New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

So I’m 5 brews into NEIPAs and I have it down. I’m kegging another batch Friday and brewing on Saturday. I want to throw Hawaiian Punch powder in during fermentation 6 days in. Idea is to go higher with SO on my mash water treatment additions and then a bit more bitterring then normal to help...

Is the goal to make it exactly like sculpin or were you using it as a base to build a IPA that tastes to what you like? Also DH will cause some haze, but if your yeast and grain bill aren't common to the style then you'll likely get a unfiltered look more along the lines of Stones unfiltered...

Went to put my DH at day 3 and krausen has dropped so pulled a sample and 1.016 already [emoji7] 1318 does quick work.

So to your first point, your doing your entire DH at once 2-3 days into fermenting and noticing the same aroma and flavor as doing multiple charges over a longer period of time?

I have found 10-12 days fine for me I don't know of any real benefits of longer fermenting times for this style? I mean if you FG hasn't moved and it's been a few days why not keg it? I have seen others kegging around day 7-8 with 1318, I am going to try this when I brew again next week and...

So I have a nice healthy krausen but no bubbler activity with 1318... krausen is big but just weird I've never not had major bubbler activity. Pitched a 2000ml starter and all. Don't think I need to be concerned unless my FG stalls or something right?

What is this optimal dry hop timing you speak of? I just thought 3 days into ferm was good am I wrong?

1lb short in Mash, what can I expect it to affect?

Yeah I ordered off morebeer they come crushed so I'm thinking they didn't crush the grains well enough.

1lb short in Mash, what can I expect it to affect?

Quick grist: 12lb pale ale 2 row 2lb oats 2lb wheat Anyhow I missed 1lb of the 2 row because they were individually bagged and I didn't see the damned bag until I had started bringing the wort to a boil. I was shooting for OG 1.081. I tried dropping my fermenter volume from 5.5 to 5 gal...

Is it noticeable when you DH in keg or not enough to matter?

40 min mash, recommended from a brewery that kills NEIPA, converted all my starches. Now trying the 30 min boil before I whirlpool [emoji106]
