    STC-1000 not cooling?

There is a three minute adjustable delay for the cooling circuit. This is there to reduce the amount of cycling of your compressor in your freezer. Once your high setpoint is reached your fridge will not start for three minutes.

    Wort transfer from kettle question/idea

This may work but it may lead to problems transferring your wort. When you feed from the bottom of the vessel you are using the head pressure from the full volume of the kettle to start the flow. Even with this pressure I can have difficulties priming my pump. If you are siphoning your fluid...

    insulating kettle mash tun

It is an old Eddie Bauer down filled coat. It works well and the temp only drops a degree or two in 90 min. The best thing is that if it gets sticky I can just throw it in the wash.

    insulating kettle mash tun

I use an old winter coat. It has a zipper and snaps so I can snap it up to allow the valve to stick out the front. I thought about cutting off the sleaves and sewing them up but I dont think the extra work would be worth it.

    Worst Part About Homebrewing

No one has mentioned boilovers. I know all about fermcap but it still happens from time to time. It messes with your calculations and makes a stickey mess all over. Though it does smell like burnt marshmallow. Love/Hate I guess.

    Cock Ale

I've had some brew days that were long. Some brewing techniques like party-gyle and decotion mashing are hard to get right. It looks like this cock ale is long and hard.

Drip tray attached to front of keezer?

I used a stainless steel mud pan and four magnets from lowes. The pan only says Kobalt on one side so it looks good. I put clear packing tape on my freezer where the magnets connect so they do not scratch the surface when removing or attaching the pan. It doesn't slide and you can't see the...

    Good beer in Michigan?

After that I feel that I must contribute something worth while. Lumberbarrons in Bay City is great. Marty Rapnicki doesn't make a bad beer. He has a belgian blonde, a scotch ale, and a 357 (3 hops, 5 malts, 7%) seasonal that rock. http://www.doreriverview.com/beers.php

    Collection of random brewing pictures

Bobby, It looks like you started out with a thermowell in your mash tun when you had the screen false bottom then you moved to a straight thermometer with your braided manifold. Is this the case? Would a thermowell throw off the temperature reading? I was thinking of making a thermowell from...
