I got it to work.
On my Raspberry Pi I had the newer Raspian version which is called Buster.
I went back to the Stretch version and did not get the Bluetooth error message and was able to set up the Tilt Hydrometer successfully.

When I power up the ESP on the phone I see ESP_5574156 as a network... I can connect to it but then it says "Internet may not be available" . I go into the browser and everything is ..." This site can't be reached." I don't see any page come up.
