The OG was 1040 and the FG was .996. I think that comes to 5.78% ABV. I didnt think it would be as High abv as that?? So hopefully the Alchol in it will take care of any germs? :rockin: When I realized what happend I almost lost my temper and was going to ditch the lot down the sink...

It wasnt Sanitizer. It was just water. Just have to try it in two or three weeks.:o Thanks for the replies :D

Hello Gang. I was just bottling my 3rd Homebrew (samson cider) and I forgot to take the air lock out and some of the water from the air lock has gone it to the mix.:mad: I finished bottling anyway but is there any point as now it is contaminated. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::confused...

No, it was a very basic kit, 1.5kg of dextros and the Can! Its a Samson West Country Cider. :rockin:

Hello Gang, I just did my 3rd homebrew, Its a Samson Cider. I just dont understand why on the instructions it says 'add yeast 24 hours later' cant I just add it now?

If it doesnt hurt to leave it for another 2 or 3 days, ill let it sit a bit longer. Thanks for the help.!! :mug:

Hi canman, I used the yeast that came with the Kit, it also had a small packet of hops. The temp was around 20 -22c in a small room. To oxygenate I just stirred it very well for 15 mins.

Hello Gang, I am on my second home brew (st peters IAP) The O.G. was 1.048. It has been going for 6 days now and the air lock stopped moving after 5 days but the F.G seems to have stopped at 1.020. The instructions say that the fermentation is complete when the FG is below 1014...
