Hey jcaudill, I saw where you said it passed the compressor test but any updates with the SS ball and o-ring in a real brewing application? I just found this thread and I really enjoy reading what you are doing. Keep up the hard work and us posted!
Im going to go buy the ingredients tomorrow from my local micro brewery/shop however it calls for Fermentis Safale US-05 what would be equivalent in yweast?
Why are they all shaped as carboys?? Is there a reason for that or is it just the way it is and everyone goes with it?? I find it much easier to have my beer in a 5 or 5 1/2 gallon bucket with a spigot so i don't have to siphon. Do they sell PET material in a bucket form?? :mug:
I am new in the whole home brewing hobby. With that said, i am on my 4th batch and my 1st all grain. I have no clue how many calories are in my home brew is it close to commercial brewers?? What makes a low calorie beer so low in cals? Could we make them as well? Thanks for any replies Jeff
