the recipe we're doing says to chill the wort in an ice bath to 80F within 15-20 minutes...the last recipe we did, we just dumped the wort into the primary which already had our cold water in it
so do we need to do a wort chill before going into the primary?
my friend and i just started our first brew a few days ago...our carboy is about to be free and we'd like to start another batch...most of what we've found has been all-grain, but i don't think we're ready for that quite yet...anyone recommend some good recipes for the beginning brewer?
So i purchased my first kit today.:ban: I asked the dude in the store if that was everthing in need, he said it was.........But i didn't find a themometer or hydrometer. I guess what im asking is do i realy need a hydrometer, i'm sure i need a thermometer but what about a hydrometer?
just moving in to a new house (where i have some space to myself ;) )and decided to maybe set up a little brewing setup. what better way to learn then from others?
