    Regulator pressure creeping up

Thanks everyone for responding to this. Much appreciated. I have contacted Kegco and hopefully will get a replacement sent out. Good to know others have had this issue. Love this forum.

    Regulator pressure creeping up

I do not have a check valve. If beer has backed up into the regulator, is it repairable?

    Regulator pressure creeping up

I own a keg co dual regulator for my 3 tap kegerator. It's less than 1 year old and has been working fine. Suddenly, the pressure won't stay stable at 12psi. It keeps creeping up and up, over pressuring my kegs. I've spent the last 2 weeks fussing with the system, and have gotten to the point...

    help with SMASH reciepe

update: brew went well. With 4.5 oz of leaf hops there was a decent amount of wort lost, a little more than I had calculated. But otherwise, all went well. Will report back in a few weeks when I taste.

    help with SMASH reciepe

Ok, I'll make some notes and report back. I read somewhere that 1 oz of dry hops absorbs .15 quarts, so I'm estimating a .5 quart loss, which is not terrible. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the tips. I am going to go US-05 as per your thoughts. Maybe I'll move the 30 min to something later? Double...

    help with SMASH reciepe

Thanks chickypad. I was wondering about volumes, actually. But I'm already mashing. Any suggestions at this point? I do a batch sparge where I drain my tun, then do 2 add'l sparges at .9 gallons each. I'm about to finish up the last .9 sparge. Should I just do another one? Any ideas on how to...

    help with SMASH reciepe

Today I'm going to try my first SMASH. I do 2.5 gallon all grain batches, and the two ingredients in this SMASH will be Maris Otter and Centennial. I'm trying to do this as an IPA that is pretty darn hoppy, which is a style a prefer. I'm using all leaf hops as I have a big old bag of 'em in the...

American Pale Ale Da Yooper's House Pale Ale

Ok. Brewed this last weekend and completely messed it up. I used caravienne instead of vienna malt, doh! A big thanks to Yooper who was kind enough to talk me through it once I discovered what I did. It's fermenting nicely and I'm going to taste it tomorrow but I'm bummed that it won't be the...

    American IPA Lakefront IPA clone-ish

Update: I did my first All-Grain batch (2.5 gallons) using this recipe, and I'm drinking it now: it's the best beer I've ever brewed. What a great recipe. Yooper, thanks so much for posting this, and thanks everyone on this thread for weighing in. Yum!:)

    Please critique this workflow

Thanks Scottanooga. When you dry hop in primary, do you ever save the yeast? Also, I just bought some gelatin - can you describe your process of using it when you keg? Thanks!

    Please critique this workflow

Thanks Smellyglove. If I dry hop in primary, will that adversely affect the yeast cake if I want to save it for another batch? I've never done that before.

    Please critique this workflow

Please critique this workflow. I’m interested in figuring out the best method for beer storage, transfer, dry hopping and clarifying in order to reduce exposure to oxygen, properly dry hop beer in a keg, and get my beer clear. I’m not looking for feedback on timing or carbonating...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

@The542 - do you have a recipe for that? I love IPL's but can't seem to find a good one to brew, plus I'm looking to do my first SMaSH brew so this would be sweet.
