    Krausening Techniques?

Thanks. I was wondering about the amount of krausen. Since it's got a spunding valve, any excess CO2 will blow off. I'll check out the calculator.

    Krausening Techniques?

I listened to the Beer and Brewing podcast a few days ago and they interviewed a brewer that makes German Pilsners the traditional way. Anyways he talked about carbing up the beer through krausening. I know what krausening is but was wondering about the logistics in doing so. I have a small...

is there a way of adding more bitterness to a finished beer?

that might work out since my ABV was higher than i wanted due to a higher OG and lower FG

is there a way of adding more bitterness to a finished beer?

So I attempted a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone. The beer is clean and malt is there but not enough bitterness and not enough hop flavor compared to the commercial version. The beer is currently in a keg and carbonating. At this point, is there a way of adding more bitterness and more hop...

    Suggestions for CIP?

So I just put this EBIAB together and have used a few times. I was thinking of the next step would be some type of CIP setup. What I've been doing is recirculating 130F water with Oxyclean after brew day but that really doesn't do much for what's stuck to the inside of the kettle after the boil...

    What size Element

I'm putting together an electric BIAB system. the base is a 10 gallon Stout Tanks kettle. I assume i'll be doing 3-4 gallon batches with it. Anyways I tested it last night with an element from another EBIAB project i did a few years ago. I started with 8 gallons of water. 78F start. 1650 Watt...

Wort Share and British Golden Ale

My homebrew club is doing a wort share with a local brewery. The wort will be 100% Maris Otter. Since my preferred beer type is light and crispy i was thinking of doing a British Golden Ale. I've not brewed one before but most of the recipes I see are mostly base malt and then a little wheat...
