    Wood-Aged Beer Oktobourbon

This is one of my all time favorites. I got a bit lazy and left it in the primary (A 23 gallon Conical), on the yeast, for about 4-6 weeks. I just kegged it 4 days ago, put in the wood chips and the liquor that had been soaking, and used a carb cap to force carb a 2 liter, and wow! Its...

    Double IPA Tits-Up Imperial IPA (3-Time Medalist - 2 Golds, 1 Silver)

Well, doubling this recipe was really pushing what my Brew Magic could handle, but I got through with the primary beer at 14 gal 1.08 SG and produced 6 more gallons of a small beer at 1.048 SG . I have never made a small beer before, I just did a 30 mindays boil on the previously used hops, so...

Brewing this tomorrow, can't wait ;) Exact copy but doubled, using Galena instead of Nugget due to availability.

    efficiency question

Are you doing a mash out? I went from not stirring much and not doing a mashout, to stirring every 10-15 minutes and doing a mash out at 168 and went from low 70s to 83-85%.

    Beer to swap!

That would be cool, if you ever want to come up and brew let me know :) I was still getting the feel of my brew magic, so I missed the infusion temp and mashed lower than called for, but I think its very good, just probably even more light and crisp than called for.

    Beer for Camping

I stole this idea from the DIY section, but just fill this bad boy up and toss it in the truck:I call it the man can.

    Does my LHBS suck?

Sorry for your bad experiance. I actually have 3 homebrew stores within 30 minutes drive, but the very best is rebelbrewer.com which is right on the way to the location that I brew at :) Give Tom an email there, and his staff (Tyler) is great, too. I would highly recommend them, good prices and...

    IIPA not carbonating. Any ideas?

Batch is ruined, send it to me for proper disposal. Or, at worst case, pitch more yeast. Use a high flocculation so it will settle out quickly and make a hard cake in the bottles or whatever you are using. Or, take this as a sign to get into kegging.

    Blichmann Beer Gun connection

I dont bother chilling the bottles. I use 2 co2 tanks and regs (overkill, but I have the parts so why not) so I can purge higher psi than bottling. I use about 3-4lbs in the tank to push the beer and about 10 feet of 1/4 ID hose for the beer line. With the beer chilled to about 35 degrees...

    leave it on???

I think the big point is make sure you chill the beer. You can search on here or google for carbonation charts, or beersmith can tell you at what pressure you will eventually want it at. I generally carb at serving pressure for a few weeks, but I have 70 gallons in the works right now, so I...

    "Carbonator" pressures?

They are great for taste testing, for just storage for a few hours, I normally hit with 20psi or so.

    Bottling kegged beer

But, if you do have 150 dollars and want a really easy to use solution, get a beer gun. You will need: 2 gas sources (I use 2 co2 tanks and regs so I can purge at higher pressure) Beer gun The parts kit is helpful but not needed if your experienced with kegging.
