    Pump & Fitting Recommendations?

I went all 1 1/2” TC. I use pretty much all silicon gaskets with a mix of 1 1/2” and 1” size (same outside diameter, but the 1” gaskets have a smaller center hole). To me, the big bonus of TC was the fact that it’s industry standard so it’s possible to find all sorts of compatible fittings if...

    Trillium’s “new fermentation profile?”

JC has been talking about dry hopping under pressure for years. For instance this quote is from a 2014 twitter thread: “mash low (~150F ish), add a little british light crystal malt, 90% of hops late/dry, dry hop under pressure in a cornie keg at 60F” Think this is now an example of “practice...

    Trillium’s “new fermentation profile?”

I have not tried any of their beers since they changed up their process - would be interested in hearing about the differences that people have noticed.

Primary, Secondary, Dry Hop, Fine, rack - all from one keg?

I used an SS Brewbucket for a while. Granted, it’s not a sanke keg, but, like a keg, it has no way of dumping the trub off the bottom. Anyway - I would primary, dry hop, crash cool, and fine, all in that one vessel, then rack to a serving keg for carbonation. Never had any issues with off...

    Trillium’s “new fermentation profile?”

So far, all I’ve seen from Trillium is that it involves “yeast and secrets.” So - a new yeast strain? Wonder what else they’re up to...

    Trillium’s “new fermentation profile?”

Lately, Trillium has been mentioning their “new fementation profile.” Anyone have any insights on what their new process might be?

Airlock Chamber in Unitank to Dry Hop under pressure?

Thanks for the reply! I always like pics, but I think I have a pretty good grasp on how I’m going to set it up ;) I have a unitank as well and I was hoping I was going to be able to use an extra 2” valve that I already had (along with a 3” to 2” reducer), but like I mentioned before - it’s just...

Airlock Chamber in Unitank to Dry Hop under pressure?

A bit of an old thread - I know. Just wondering if ABQ or anyone else ever tried this with a 3” butterfly valve? I tried something similar with a 2” valve, but it was too small and the hops just clumped up and wouldn’t fall through...
