    Seeds in my hop cones

Hmm, strange. No other hops being grown around me that I know of. I have 2 cascades covered in hops, one chinook that's covered in hops, and one centennial that has never grown more than 2+ feet and doesn't have a single cone on it. Could that be the culprit?

    Seeds in my hop cones

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures. I cut open a few cones recently to see how they were progressing and I noticed they had a bunch of little seeds in them. I also saw that some of the cones had little side arms growing out of the cone itself. These are second year cascades I got from...

Has anyone used hefeweizen yeast for an Ipa?

Just got scores back from a hoppy imperial weizen I submitted to NHC. Basically a dipa with hefe yeast. Judges liked the hops and yeast combo with one judge commenting that the aroma was "out of this world". Got knocked for excessive alcohol taste and low carb though... Bittered with magnum...

    Emerging microbrewery trend

More and more young beer drinkers have totally skipped over BMC and basically started with craft beer, myself included. Young entrepreneurs have been influenced by multiple factors. One, it's extremely difficult to find a job right now fresh out of school. I thought it was bad when I...

    Swedes, and non-Swedes...

I say find an image of what represents lagom to you. If it was me, I'd go with an image of an old Volvo 122, maybe like this. You could go the wrangler jeans route underneath with some text like - Simple|Sufficient|Lagom

    color change after bottling

I have a keg of BW with the exact same issue. Beautiful golden blonde in the carboy, hazy and purple in the keg. The taste has changed but I can't say it's horrible, just very different than it was....

    Words and phrases I hate

Might have been mentioned earlier, but using "itch" in place of "scratch." If something itches, you scratch it. You don't itch what itches. Unless you're into being itchy I guess.

Dry Hop Testing with Bud Light

Read the comment section of that blog post. Scottland says he also used SNPA with great results too.
