    Fwiw the bakers chocolate flavor is coming from the choc wheat malt most likely. That's a lot. Try tasting some raw, and comparing to your roasted nibs.

    Their goal is to rate the beer not improve your brewing, simple as that. Entering into competitions is not an efficient way to get feedback. The amount of brews they need to sift through while still caring is very high, cut them some slack.

    You don't need the DAP imo. It won't kill your beer to skip it. Also the general feeling from other posts in the thread is that it's a touch too bitter so maybe consider backing down the 60 min hops... (?)

    6 oz is probably good, I'd caution against toasting too hot or too long.

    Looks good overall. It will come out quite bitter. You might consider having no 60 min addition and reserving the extra 10 grams for extra 15 minute addition. That would get you to about 28 ibu, better balance, less bitter, more flavor/aroma.

    I had an old d-180, about that old. It was slightly crystallized but still tasted good and did a good job.
