    Yeast storing doubt

I think I read somewhere than when yeast reproduce at the start of fermentation at high temps, they produce some fenols and esters that remain in the beer as an off flavor. I did not underpitch and my beer didn't have a high FG (it ended at 1.014).

    Yeast storing doubt

Hi, last time I brewed, I think I pitched the yeast with the temp a little too high, and I think this produced a kind of sweet off flavor. I have yet to try the final beer to see how it tastes, but my doubt is the following: If I wash and stored this yeast, if I use it will it produce the same...

help saving an "imperial" sweet stout

You could have topped it up with the right amount of boiled water, at the same temperature, so the sugars would dissolve and reach your desired OG, and finishing with more beer, there is an equation for the amount needed. I just read you shouldnt pitch a seconf after you have already pitched in...

    CO2 regulator doubt

Yes, it has two gauges one that measures the amount of CO2 and one the amount of pressure. I didn't order a dual regulator (two different pressures), but one with one pressure but two outputs out of the same head (if that makes sense?). Instead I got one with one output, but my question is, if...

    CO2 regulator doubt

This is kind of a weird question. I bought a regulator (taperite double gauge) but the store should have sent me one with two outs, instead they sent one with one out. They will probably replace it with one with two outs, but the store is closed due to holidays and will not open again till next...

I used too much priming sugar! Am i looking at bombs here?

Thanks pre66! I did try to pour it as gentle as I could to try to avoid that. I will take note on that. Any thoughts on how long should I wait till I can try to rebottle? I dont think it will show in a reading when Its done. Thanks.

I used too much priming sugar! Am i looking at bombs here?

Thanks ColoHox! I did vent the bottles and there was a lot of pressure, so I decided to pour it into the fermenter. I have a doubt, I had to leave after doing that so I couldnt take a gravity reading, but I'm guessing that much sugar wont make a difference in the reading. So how will I know when...

I used too much priming sugar! Am i looking at bombs here?

I bottled my first IPA yesterday. I typically do 2.5-3 gal batches, when bortling i noticed i had 1.8-2.1 gal (7-8 liters) and i miscalculated the priming sugar, i added 100 grams (3.5 oz) of sugar total to my bottling bucket. Due to the place where i live, it is stored in the 25-28*C range of...
