South Carolina NC/SC Coffin Keezer For Sale (near Charlotte)

I am moving back up north and looking to do a different setup in the next house. I have a 4 tap coffin style keezer for sale. Perlick 525SS faucet with 9" shanks. 10ft beer lines to keep the beer frosty cold. C02 manifold and C02 line included. 120mm CPU fan blows cold air from the freezer...

    Just another coffin keezer

I didn't take any of the inside but certainly can as I need to switch out an empty keg in a few days. I cut two holes in the freezer top that lead into the tower, one for the lines, and one for a CPU fan. I mounted an 80mm CPU in the tower over one of the holes which pulls cool up from the...

    Just another coffin keezer

Here's another coffin keezer for the world to behold. I started this project over a year ago as a collar style and its been in the garage ever since. Over Labor Day weekend, I finally decided to complete the project and free up some room in the garage. Started life as a GE 7.0 cu. ft...

    Adding second running into boil?

No offense, but the story still doesn't make sense. I understand that there was left over second runnings that were dumped directly (unboiled) into the carboy. What I don't get is how that raised your OG by .020 points for two reasons. 1) Boiling raises the OG of the wort whether it's first or...

Got free grains and hops, wondering what to brew

Yooper, Good point with the English hops not being American. We'll call it an English Pale Ale in that case. I will also remove the C140 or really cut it down and save the rest for another day. Don

Got free grains and hops, wondering what to brew

I received some free grains and hops, so I have a free brew day on my hands. I'm thinking of making an APA with the recipe below. What do you all think? 10lbs of Belgian Pale Malt 1lb Crystal 40L 1lb Crystal 120L 1.5oz Cascade FWH 1oz East Kent Goldings - 30 min boil 1oz East Kent...

Trip to North Carolina in a couple of weeks

Duckworth's Grill and Taphouse is good in Charlotte. Good food and of course lots of beers. Mac's Speed Shop is good BBQ and lots of beer as well.

    Resistance is Futile!

Yea, no need to have resistors on both sides of the diodes, unless you wanted to create a second voltage drop. The resistors are in the circuit to "make up" the voltage drop needed between the + and the various diode drops. Voltage has to be equal at parallel nodes.

    Resistance is Futile!

Without the resistors on each leg, you would not be able to control the 20mA going through each leg as the resistors are sized to created that current. Also, without the resistors, all your diodes would be tied to the same positive voltage and ground, in turn fighting to output different...
