I'm helping buddy get back into brewing and I noticed his stainless brew pots have scorch marks on the bottoms. (probably why his previous beers didn't turn out:D ) Does anyone know how to get rid of these or does it even matter?
Tried an all grain (1st time) Wee Heavy. It has been sitting in the secondary for about two weeks. I took a sample today and it seemed really weak an watered down. Is this batch a waste? Should I wait? Any ideas as to what the mistakes were?
Howdy and I welcome! I'm a UND alum. Unfortunately I don't remember much in the way of microbrews or home brew supply up in your neck of the woods. There is a supply in the Twin Cities. I believe it's Northern Brewer.
Good luck and cheers.
Sonvolt, are you also an Uncle Tupelo fan?
I thoroughly enjoy Schlafly's beer. They recently opened another bar called the Bottleworks. I still prefer the Tap Room downtown.
The ice and snow didn't create much of a problem for me. I live in the burbs about 25 minutes west of downtown. The northern portions of St. Louis were hit the hardest with ice and power outages.
I've been going crazy with this home brewing. I started in early Nov. with a simple Brown Ale...
