i got hooked on that stuff last year when I was working in new hampshire. the bartender at one of the local bars would rim the glass in a cinnamon/sugar mix. im not one for fufu drinks but that was deffinatly a nice touch. Me and a buddy even drove up to maine to see the brewery.
when i was in germany they always served hefewiesen with an orange slice, never seen it with a lemon slice until i came back to the states. I think i like the orange better. they also made colawiesen with about 3/4 hefe and 1/4 coke or bananawiesen with banana juice. colawiesen is good stuff...
the paint strainer is big enough that it goes to the bottom of the bucket, so its no different than just pouring it into the fermenter. I brewed a batch this weekend and cooled it in the brew pot instead of the fermenter so either way it was cool first.
