If the strainer is 3" in diameter would you purchase a 3" diameter pipe hanger clamp or go with one size smaller?

White labs was kind enough to give me the wink and confirm it is indeed from the Augustiner strain. So to put this question to rest for future searches on the web WLP860 = Augustiner strain according to white labs. They did indicate there could be slight differences due to their processes etc...

I reached out and will report back if they can give me the wink

thats a good call, I always thought it was augustiner but a buddy from my brew club says no and nothing online seem to really confirm its augustiner

Hey guys I am considering just drilling a hole into one of my stoppers to add a thermowell that is .375" OD. Anyone ever done this? See any problems with doing it? Sure it won't be as clean as factory but Im struggling to see any downside. Appreciate any input!

Do you by chance remember the names of the clamps you used for the filter and legs? I have that exact same filter that I use. I cannot find the clamps on lowes site and I think it is because I don't know the proper name for them :)
