    Boil length

I've reduced my boil time to just 30 minutes for most of my homebrews, and it's been working very well I primarily brew lagers and pilsners. Despite common concerns about DMS in lighter beers, I haven’t encountered any off-flavors or stability issues. With today’s modern, highly modified malts...

Which dry lager yeast to use

I just wanted to share a bit of my experience with both Saflager 34/70 and Lallemand NovaLager. I've had really good results using both strains – not only at traditional low lager temperatures, but also at higher fermentation temps. They've both proven to be quite forgiving and still produce...

Could I use a syringe through a ball lock to add gelatin finings?

I use a 0.5L PET bottle with a Carbonation Cap and a small piece of hose. I fill it with water and gelatin, then lightly loosen the Carbonation Cap and run some CO₂ through the bottle to scrub out any air. After that, I pressurize the bottle to a higher pressure than the keg. Using a jumper...

Over the years, it’s been consistent and reliable, and I’ve never had any major issues with it. One tip install some washers Not my picture...

    Keeping tap clean between uses

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! It sounds like sticking with a StarSan spray is the way to go, just like I’ve been doing with my old setup. I’ll keep it simple and continue that method for now. Appreciate all the input! Cheers!

    Keeping tap clean between uses

Hey everyone, I just got a Kegland kegerator with a Nukatab, and I’m loving it so far! However, I don’t drink beer every day, and I want to make sure the tap stays clean between uses. In the past, I’ve been using a picnic tap, which I spray with StarSan and store in the fridge. This method has...

    New fermenter

I’m running two FermZillas: one 30L All Rounder and one 27L Tri-Clover. I’ve never experienced any leaks, either liquid or pressure. They’re also easy to clean and maintain.
