    OK to sanitize bottling bucket/bottles with bleach or something?

    I've been using bleach for my fermenters for a while but always use a no rinse sanitiser for my bottles ;) forgive me if I'm wrong but I read somewhere it was better to rinse bleach smell out with cold water so this is what I've been doing for ages with no problems.     Cool :) I live in Australia and have brewed quite a few Coopers kits and with a little more added hops have found them to be great! Never tried a Mr. Beer kit, maybe one day ;)

    Take CBMbrewer's advice! Never rely on the bubbles to work out if fermentation is finished. Leave it at least another week to be sure, it won't hurt, if anything the end product will come out better ;) Take a hydrometer reading and once the gravity is the same two days in a row you will be...

    Good point, yeah I think it was around 25 deg C (around 78 deg F) I didn't even take that into account thanks! Guess ill find out when I put a few away! LOL

    It was after stirring thoroughly and just before pitching yeast.....i should actually do the hydrometer calibration test and make sure it reads 1.00 in a glass of room temperature water.....just thought of that :rolleyes:
