    Hello from Pittsburgh!

I'll have to check out the pourhouse. I've only been to the Rivertowne bar down town by the pnc park. Good to see someone else from Pittsburgh lol. Are there any clubs or anything around here? It sucks when you get passionate about something and there is no one around to talk about it with. Or a...

Yeah they are really helpful. I just built a keezer and I needed a bunch of little pieces and fittings and kegs, and co2, etc etc. And They were with me the whole time as I went down that list and helping me find each and every part, and I have yet to need an ingredient they didn't have. I need...

    Hello from Pittsburgh!

Just wanted to say hey from Pittsburgh. I have been really enjoying beer for a long time now and I consider myself a "hop head" i love any sort of IPA and they are definitely my go to beer. I have an appreciation for all beers except stouts for the most part. I am working on it though, only a...

Did I transfer to secondary too soon?

I came across this thread because I did exactly what the original poster did and racked, then took a gravity on an imperial IPA and was sitting at 1.030 when I should be at 1.018. I freaked out and started searching. I still have hope for the beer, but after reading this post, I will not be...

Imperial Stout Sweet Chocolate Milk Stout

Oh wow, I didn't think you would lose 1.24 gallons between post boil and into the fermenter. Must be a stout thing lol. Thanks! Also, what would be a good white labs yeast to use for this? The equivilant to s-33 looks to be WLP006, but no one carries that that i can find.

Imperial Stout Sweet Chocolate Milk Stout

This may sound like a really dumb question, but this will be my first stout. I REALLY want to make this my first stout, but one thing I noticed, and I've noticed across all stout recipes I came across, that there seems to be a lot of missing volume Boil Size: 7.37 gal Post Boil Volume: 6.24...
