    How much sediment typically is left in the collection ball at the end? Is there much wine wasted?

    I'm 24 hours into my first brew. All seems to be going well except a brown stain that has developed on the lid of the fermenter: (apologies for rotated photo) Is this something I should be worrying about? Any ideas what might have caused it? Many thanks! Ewan --
