Use of Hazelnut syrup or flavoring

Cool, thanks. I wanted to try something I already had but there is no use in ruining a batch of beer. :)

Use of Hazelnut syrup or flavoring

I've made this recipe: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f126/choconut-porter-54159/ at few times, and the 1st time, it was perfect (to me), but I used all extract. The 2nd time was all grain and the hazelnut was way too strong. The last time I left it out all together. I'm wanting to make it...

    Miller/Coors keg leak

It's leaking from where the tap connects, from what I can tell. I have another keg to use, but I'm not sure if the tap is leaking, or if the threaded part of the bottle is cracked. I don't want to open it until I have a plan to move the beer.

    Miller/Coors keg leak

I bottled a batch this past Saturday and I used a Miller keg along with bottles. I checked on the keg last night, and saw that there was a trickle of fluid on the outside of the bottle, along with some beer on the floor. The level in the keg had also dropped. I cleaned the keg off and placed...

The life story of my brewery

Subaru owner here too, sort of. My wife drives a '04 FXT with a VF39, gutted up pipe, STi axle back and tune. I'm at the other end with a Evo IX. :)

    Keggle overkill for 5gal batches?

Thanks for the replies. This is the cooler I'm using for the mash, would it handle ~22 - 24lbs of grain + water? http://www.igloocoolers.com/Coolers_3/All-Coolers/48-Quart-Ice-Cube

    Keggle overkill for 5gal batches?

I have a chance to buy some half barrel kegs at scrap prices, but since I'm still only doing 5 gal batches, would something that big be too much? I have a brew pot now that is close to boil overs with 6.5 gallons of wort boiling. I would like to move to 10 gallon batches, but I'm not sure if...

My Experience With The Coors Lite Home Draft (Video)

Last night was the first time I've used one of the Coors/Miller kegs with homebrew. I had a batch of choconut porter that had been in there for ~6+ weeks. I put it in the fridge yesterday morning and last night I removed the top to relieve pressure, added the Co2, and poured a pint. The beer...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Choconut Porter

The first time I made this, I used the extract instructions and it turned out awesome. This recent time, I used AG and the hazelnut is over powering. I used the same brand 2oz hazelnut extract with each batch. Any idea what went wrong? I will have to go back and look, but I think the first...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

I have a batch of this in bottles now that I made a few weeks ago. It was my 2nd time using this recipe. I followed the instructions the first time, but this recent batch I used Amarillo hops for the last 2 hop additions. The little bit I had in the tester tasted good, but it's hard to get a...

    Are my hops still good?

I brewed a batch in Aug using whole Cascade hops. My LBS only had 4oz bags, and I needed 2oz. I kept the bag in the fridge the entire time and moved them to the freezer a few weeks ago. Would these still be okay, so should I buy new?

    Miller Lite Home Draft Dissected

Actually, the Miller version has 2 gold emblems on the side that do the same as the Coors. I got a free one this weekend and I plan to use it with the beer I made this weekend, but how much headspace should I leave when I fill the bottle for natural carbing?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

35 minutes left in the boil with my Choconut Porter. I usually have a buddy help out, but I'm running solo this time. I am enjoying some of Edwort's Haus Pale Ale though.
