    Strike water too high?

This was more accurate for my temps than beer smith. I am going back to this, ever since brewing with beer smith my beer hasn't been as tasty. I may have settings wrong, but that calculator gave me great beer.

    Pot size

Do you mean that you put it across the top of the pot and the lid on the top of that? Or do you push it down lower in the pot?

    Danby Mini Fridge Converted Kegorator

Beautiful panel on the door, love how it ties the whole look together. What dimensions did you make it and where did you get it from? Great job.

    5500w cooling question

Hey, I have a 5500w heat stick from brew hardware and I love it, but I am also terrified of it. After bringing the mash up to temp and shutting it off, I leave it to hang far out of the way so I have no chance of bumping into it. When I go to put it back in to boil I know that it is cold. But...

How to control the boil kettle?

I need to plug into a l6-30p outlet. Could I just get an l6-30 extension cord, strip the middle and cut the hots, use the two hots in and two hots out? Does this device replace the dspr1 and ssr+ heat sink? Seems super cheap. My goal is to dial my 5500w heat stick down to 60% once I reach boil.

    Canadian Gluten Free Homebrewers

Currently I am using clarity ferm and regular grains. I want to move into 100% gluten free grains though because I don't know if there is a cumulative effect from clarity ferm. There is a Canadian website who said their supplier of GF grains hasn't sent them any or been in contact with them.

    Canadian Gluten Free Homebrewers

Yes please! I would be interested in millet and buckwheat, I am in Ontario. I only brew 5 gallon batches once every 4 weeks.

    What to get next?

I love my wort chiller. But you can DIY easily and cheaply to fit perfectly in your pot.

    Canadian Gluten Free Homebrewers

Home brew supplies.ca says they will have gluten free all grains soon. Does anyone know of other suppliers in Canada?

    First biab in process

Got home and it is doing well and looking healthy in the chamber. I was hit with a nice wall of hops when I opened the lid.

    First biab in process

I brewed a west coast ipa recipe. 12# 2-row, 1# victory malt and 1# carafoam. The hops were 1oz centennial at 60 and 2oz citra and 2oz simcoe at 5min. The yeast has yet to start but I am going to relax and go to work and hope that tonight I see some bubble action on it. I started with some good...

Great, thank you for taking the time to address my concern. Glad to have my first full brew session under my belt.
