My first recipe. What do you think?

I actually did both of those. 60/45 for boil/mash are just defaults in beer smith and I hadn't bothered to change them. I also didn't bother doing a mash out since it went strait to the boil. Thanks for the feedback.

My first recipe. What do you think?

Brewed it yesterday, mashed at 150. I think it'll turn out pretty well. I'll post back after I get to taste it.

Thanks m00ps. I'm still learning a little about mash temps.

Thanks guys. I might try rearranging the hop schedule a little.

My first recipe. What do you think?

I just threw this recipe together in order to have something to do with some extra pilsner malt. It looks like it'll be very light in color and mild bitterness, which is what i'm going for. I haven't made it yet, just wondering if anyone has thoughts or suggestions. :mug: Recipe: Pilsner...

Is "extra light" LME the same as "extra pale" LME?

I have a recipe that calls for extra pale LME. I've been able to find extra light LME. Is this the same thing? Also the recipe calls for 3 pounds, the can I found is 3.3 pounds. Will the extra 0.3 pounds make a big difference, or should I be sure to only use 3 pounds of it?

Ok to do this recipe without refrigeration.

Thanks for the response. I'm looking forward to this recipe.

Ok to do this recipe without refrigeration.

I just stumbled across this recipe and I would really like to try it. Only problem is, it calls for a final conditioning phase that is refrigerated. I'm not able to do this. What difference, if any, would it make if I skipped this refrigeration? http://beerrecipes.org/showrecipe.php?recipeid=1290
