Measured the Gravity today and it read 1.017 after correcting for temp. I also mesured the PH with strips that measue no lower than 4.5 I am guessing I dont have the right test strips as there was no change in color. (On a side note, I have a ph testing kit for my fresh water aquarium...

My have been sitting on this last racking since Janurary. It still has very little vanilla smell. The taste is as BigKahuna states, alcoholic and strong and hinkey. I am thinking of getting more beans and re-rack again. Comments, suggestions, complaints are all welcomed. Don "Ho"

In my Mead bible (The complete Meadmaker by Ken Schrammm) he mentions using compressed air for about 5 minutes in a 5 gallon carboy. Thinking about doing this on my next try at mead.. Anyone done this, pointers, or is this just wasted effort? Thanks Don "Ho"

I had it on the first set of beans (6 beans that I scraped) for 4 months. The flaver was good and the vanilla flavor was good but a little light. I then added 4 more beans that I just split and placed into the carboy. It stayed on those beans for 6 months. Umm thinking on that maybe...
