You'll be fine IMHO. There are hop bits throughout the wort. A little that gets lost in the boil over won't affect the beer anymore than the boil over would affect it. So basically...what happen happened. Don't worry I'm sure your beer will be great.
You're gonna need a bigger pot. Sure, you can do partial boils. Boil your wort and top off with water. But I personally don't like to do that. It's a PITA and some styles of beer just don't work well with partial boils. But I do understand that people must be inventive if they don't have...
Pumps are good. I'm seriously thinking of going with 2 Chuggers.
What other things do you need? Do you bottle or keg? If you don't keg, a keg setup makes a great gift.
Oxyclean Free. I wash everything down with it and rinse with plenty of hot water. I try to make sure everything dries thoroughly before its packed away too.
I think you'll be fine. People really get worked up over oxidization worries. A few bubbles of air here and there are no problem. IMHO, people should pay closer attention proper temps, sanitization and pitch rates.
Nah, he should be OK if he sticks to a 5 gal batch. I've used a 10gal aluminum for years before I got my 20gal SS. And before I got the 10gal aluminum I used a 7.5gal turkey fryer pot. Now THAT was interesting....and messy at times.
I think you may be over thinking this just a bit. Hops sucking up a gallon of wort? How much did you use to dry hop????? That's a lot of wort to loose by dry hopping. But if you're fears are realized, just relax. There are TONS of priming calculators out there to help. Here are a few...

Just make sure your BK is big enough. Probably safer to stick to 5gal batches. It sucks to get into the middle of things and realize ya aint got the space.
I did... Who knows what's in there after the manufacturing process!
I washed the taps in soapy water then rinsed. Then I ran a keg worth BLC through the lines and taps when I finished my Keezer. I then ran a keg worth of fresh clean water through the lines and taps. Some may do it...
You need to look up your gravity readings. See if you were on target. OG and FG are pretty crucial numbers. Like others have said before. I'm leaning on the fact your beer wasn't quite finished before you bottled it. OR you went a little heavy priming sugar.
Either way, I'd keep it...
So, I'm doing a Kal clone. I've been trying to build my brewery for a while now. Had a few setbacks that required my attention and cash elsewhere. Well anyway, I'm back on track.
So back to my question... Has anyone used 2 - 30" Exhaust hoods butted up next to eachother? I have the...
