    Thanks! I had to Google RDWHAHB - great advice :mug: The LHBS shops are closed for the night around here, so I'll probably just pixk up a regular 5 gal bucket, tighten the spigot and transfer back. The kit provided enough no-rinse cleaner to sanitize the bucket and the keg (again).

    If I understand correctly (not a given), the lid has 2 holes which allow for gas to escape, so unless this isn't enough or is blocked somehow, I don't think pressure is causing this.

    I started my first ever batch with a Mr. Beer kit last night. I thought that I had adequately checked the keg for leaks beforehand, but must have not filled it with enough water. Today I noticed that wort had spilled on the newspapers the keg is on - it appears to be coming from the spigot...
