New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Are you dry hopping in the same keg you're fermenting in? What's your dry hop process using kegs?

New England IPA Blasphemy - No Boil NEIPA

This thread inspired me to try a no-boil extract based NEIPA. I'm super happy with the results and decided I'd share them below. Back With Another One Of Those Phantasmic Beats NEIPA OG: 1.060 FG: 1.014 ABV: 6.0% “Grain” Bill 6 lb Pilsen DME Water 4 gal RO 2 grams CaCl Whirlpool 20 ml Citra...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I’ve been home brewing off and on for the past 13 years or so. I started with partial mash and quickly moved to all grain, but in the past 5 years the work involved with all grain became unappealing, and I stopped brewing with any frequency. Recently I decided to start brewing again...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I've been doing this consistently but was unhappy with the aroma from the dry hop. I suspect the reduced surface area is the cause. With the presence of trub, rousing wasn't an option. The NEIPA I currently have on tap was fermented in one keg, and then transferred to another keg for dry...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

O2 has been limited. I've been fermenting, dry hopping, and serving from a single keg. Haven't been able to notice a difference between 8oz of T90 dry hop vs 12oz of T90 dry hop. I'm planning on using two kegs next time. Fermenting in one, and then transferring, dry hopping, and serving from...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Would you still shoot for 8 oz if you were only using T90 in the dry hop? Or would you bump it up?

Imperial Yeast, Newish kid on the block

Both Gigayeast and Omega Yeast Labs advertise their products as having cell counts large enough to ferment a 5 gallon batch.

    Omega Probrew strains

Delicious. The yeast inherently contributes a lot of citrus, which either reinforces traditional American hops or makes up for their absence if you're focusing on NZ/AUS hops. I didn't use any temp control, fermentation got up to the high 70s, and finished very clean.

Feeling ready to give up on BIAB.

I'm brewing my 3rd beer with this yeast (just finished the hopstand; it's chilling now). I've only used it for NE IPAs. You should expect apricot and citrus. It's a great yeast.
