    ok, sg was at 1.034 last night, where it was 1.048 when i put it in the primary, so now i feel better :) ill check it again wednesday and see if its stable there, thanks everyone! :D

    Yeah, mother earth, unfortunately, has a limited distribution due to their capacity. Fortunately...a good friend of mine works at one of the few bars that get their kegs, and she can order any beer their distributor carries for me if I pay cash. I got a case of the Oatmeal Porter all to myself :D

    how will these "leftovers" turn out? should i bother?

    Kinda screws me on doing anything til I get some yeast, then. I know yeast keeps quite a while if kept cold/frozen but I really dont want to go through all the work and have the yeast be the issue...maybe when I buy more stuff Ill get some yeast, and a little extra hops to be on the safe side...

    I was worried...books and the recipe say it only needs 2 weeks, but it hadnt even started to carbonate when I first tried it...meh. I talked to my cousin, and he said worst case...try it every week or two, itll be ready at some point and worst case scenario you have 3 good cases of beer instead...
