    Beer has no backbone

I use bottled water. It seems to be getting a little better. So time will tell. I might lean towards Mrgrimm's response. It may not be what I'm used to drinking.

    Beer has no backbone

My most recent was the kiwi express extract from northern brewer. I hit my OG and FG. I'll give it more time in the bottle and see what happens.

    Beer has no backbone

I have brewed 5 batches. All of them have had good flavor but taste thin as if the strong malt backbone isn't present. I realized I have been making a big mistake. When I transfer from primary to secondary I have been using a funnel with a strainer. I totally wasn't thinking that this was...

    Pineapple white IPA

Hello, I like pineapples. I like white IPAs. So, in my infinite wisdom I thought, let's put the 2 together! My question is, can it be done and would it taste good? Oh and how? I brew extract only at the moment. Any guidance would be welcomed.

    Pale Ale Fermentation

Good day, I brewed the Citral Pale Ale extract kit from Midwest on Sunday. I followed all directions to a tee. Temp at pitch was 70, I made sure I shook the package of yeast, it was nice and swollen. Everything was sanitized. I have seen no action and the temp is sitting at 70. Should I...

    Cheers from Virginia!

Hello, New guy from Northern Va. I received a starter kit as early christmas gift. I have already brewed 3 kits a Kolsch, Pumpkin Ale (I tweaked), and Citral Pale Ale from MW. I am totally hooked and looking forward to learning from all of you. Carl
