First Time Using Beersmith - Please review!

Thanks! I completely overlooked that. I'm not sure whether I'm better off to just keep written recipes or try the brewing software!

Thanks Yooper. I was thinking about moving some of the hops to later in the boil. I will probably try your recommendation.

10 Gallon Batch - First Time Making Starter

Thanks for the help. I will check out the yeastcalc.com website and look into getting another flask or using a growler in the meantime. Do you all think I need 2 stirstarters or is that overkill?

I have a 2L flask and just got my stir plate from stirstarters.com today. With that said, I am totally confused on what to...

Best method to prevent clogged lines

TopherM - This aggression will not stand, man... I was simply trying an idea posted in the thread below: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/10-stainless-diy-hop-blocker-289349/ Didn't work for me. I'm sure they're great for putting the hops into them, but I prefer the hop spider. Thanks for...

My boil kettle was originally set up with a side pick up tube covered with a large ss mesh tea ball and whirlpool arm. I used whole leaf hops without any hop spider or bags. At the end of my boil I first tried...

Recipe Critique - My Haus Pale Ale

Awesome. Thanks BrewMU. This is my first try at my own recipe. That definitely makes sense because I do want this to be on the lighter side pale ale / ipa.

Recipe Critique - My Haus Pale Ale

I've been toying around with trying to come up with my perfect haus pale ale recipe and, hopefully, I've got it. Any and all comments are welcomed. Below is what I'm thinking: 11 Gallon Batch 16 lbs. - 2 Row Pale Malt 4 lbs. - Vienna Malt 1 lb. - Crystal 10L Malt 1 lb. -...

JayBird False Bottom for 10 Gallon Rubbermaid Cooler

That's what I figured, but it just seems that it would leave a lot of wort left behind... I guess I'll give it a test run to see how she works. If I don't like it, I can always go back to the old SS braid... Out of curiosity, has anyone used this false bottom?
