I plan to use the whole berries. Should I crush and pasteurize them. I've heard that freezing the should be enough to kill any nasties.

Looking for some opinions on a good extract kit to use for a blueberry ale. I'm thinking about NB's American amber ale or there Witbier. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Chris

From what I've learned from the great folks on this forum it should be fine. My first two batches sat for three weeks and I couldn't bottle my most recent batch due to some things that came up so it sat for four and I asked the same question as you. Everyone said it should be fine if not...

I use northern brewer. I have not compared prices with other online suppliers but so far I'm very satisfied with everything I have bought from them. I bought the deluxe starter kit from them and when it arrived my six gal carboy was broken I called them the next day and they sent me a new one...

That's why I keep the lid on and keep the ice, water and or snow outside my brew kettle.

I use the autosiphon to create a swirl and use it to also to stir it a little.
