    Budweiser clone

Ive tried and sorta failed several times to make a really light Pale ale. As others stated above it was really hard because the slightest mistake in my process was SO magnified. On the flip side it really helped me improve my process and find some problem areas because of how magnified the...

I have been looking for it. Where did you find it?

Real Ale Brewing Co Blanco, TX

If its not uber sour funky Belgian that strictly adheres to a style only Beer judges have ever heard of, and if more than just the 6 people in my dungeons and dragons/mead and ale club have heard it then its not a good beer and I will use talking bad about it as an oppurtunity to show how big my...

Dropped the o-ring from the airlock into the beer

I fermen in corny kegs and i dropped the O ring for the lid in. No problem. Id say racking it to another bucket to get your o ring is way riskier than just leaving it.

    Good for starting out?

So why would you buy a sack of wood chunks when you could buy a stack of wood? Do you burn wood chunks in your fireplace? A $150 smoker is not going to maintain 225 for more than an hour and a half.

    Good for starting out?

My two cents: The cabinet and upright smokers are cool and look cool, but have two huge drawbacks, 1. you cant put a log or logs in them, (at least easily) and ... 2. you have to open the door to tend the fire causing huge loss of heat and adding 15-20 minutes everytime you open. The...

Where to get standalone propane regulators?

I will give you a part number when I get to the house. The reason I ran the one regulator on the tank and used ball valves is because the flame was very very weak when I ran a small regulator (10 lb) on each burner. They were the regs that came with the turkey cookers. I thought that for 39$ a...

Where to get standalone propane regulators?

Hey I commented on your other thread and it looks like you are already to the point I found myself at. The regulator I have is 0-350lb and has a gauge on it. Mine is made by a company called Fisher control. After driving all over Dallas for days, trying BBQ's galore, welding shops, all that BS...

How to remove hose from regulator???

I had the exact same problem because I took this same route when I built my 3 burner set up. My thought was that I could get more precise control with the reg's instead of ball valves. My set up had a rigid gas pipe with a hose hooked to the tank. The rigid pipe had 3 tees that I connected the...

    BBQ is Just like Brewing

I actually set my single tier stand up to be used as a 3 burner stove for BBQ as well. I made my burners on tracks So I could slide them with the idea I could move two close together and put a big flat griddle on them and use the other for beans. I bought a bracket for the march pump so I can...

    Your worst brewing related injury

I pulled a line off the hot liquor tank valve without closing the valve first. the thing about stuff like that is - the split second that you have to realize what a stupid ass mistake you just made - right before the pain sets in.

    BBQ is Just like Brewing

I have been to competitions and seen the green egg make some award winning Que. They are awesome. I've heard nasty stories of what happens when they are dropped though! Not a cheap mistake to make! Good luck on your brew and your que!
