My friend got a Heady Clone kit that has Conan yeast included. So instead of doing the kit straight we're gonna bump the batch to a 10 gallon all-grain and riff on Heady/ Mastermind.
Problem: the intranets got nothing on what may be in mastermind. I'm guessing a grain bill similiar...

Through a connection me and 3 friends were able to get cases of Heady from Alchemist reserved for us, so we're making an impromptu pilgrimage on Friday. We're hoping to try and get Lawson's and Hill Famstead.

Ok, so my friend and I brewed the exact same grain bill today (he got ahold of 8 oz of galaxy hops and we did an experiment with late hop additions on the same exact grain bill and first 40 minutes of boil).

It was the second wheat, but the 1st was only 40% wheat malt and I hit the numbers on that one.
No we didnt check ph at all. Come to think of it, we usually use our tap water through a filter, we're on the same watershed as Victory brewery :). So we've never really messed...

I did my first all grain Saturday. It's easy yet difficult all at the same time. I took the advice of many threads on this board and the guy at my LHBS to keep the grain bill simple to really focus on the process. (Temperature, lautering, mash in etc.) just having did it, it was solid advice.
