Building a keezer - hinge question

There was a round plastic plug on the side of the lid, towards the back. I pulled that off and the hinge mechanisms were hidden behind there.

    Sam Adams bottles? Bottlecaps?

+1 I never had a problem with Sam Adams bottles.

Building a keezer - hinge question

My freebie from Craigslist was the same way. I bought some regular door hinges from Lowe's and attached it to the back with some short sheet metal screws. I was holding my breath about hitting a cooling line, but I came out ok. The only bad thing (besides dodging the lines) is that the lid...

    Home Brewery websites?

Holy Crap! There are some pretty professional looking sites. I started a simple blog, but never seem to have time to do anything with it. I eventually want to have categories for label display, equipment and recipes.

    The big colorpHast experiment

Let me start by saying that I am a lowly extract brewer, so I am not that familiar with how sensitive the efficiency is to the pH. However, as a chemist by trade, I would never trust a paper strip from any manufacturer to get me closer than 0.3-0.5 pH units. Also, if you do want to bring...

The Shrink-Ray Hits The Propane Cylinder

If you are a BJ's member, check them out. Will also fill them no matter the make. Mine charges by the gallon instead of the pound, so you don't have to worry about the guy screwing you if you have different tare weights.

    Help me spend $$$

It is for $200, but the extra $80 that I would have to spend out of pocket on Option 1 is not a big deal

    Help me spend $$$

So, I got a Midwest gift certificate for Christmas and I need some help deciding how to spend it. I am pretty sure that I am tired of bottling and I need to invest in a kegging setup. Looking around at the website, I found a couple of options and I am not sure what would be the best fit. I...

New neck label and new brewery name

Here is what I am going with now....thanks to all for your suggestions. I changed the text and it does look a lot better. I tried to make the bulge follow the claws, but I got frustrated and gave up on it. I don't think that it is noticeable once the label is shrunk down to fit on the bottle...
