    Out of propane, what now?

Well, I got the propane and started the heat up. Tasting the wort I could detect no signs of souring; however, it did seem the hop bitterness was fairly pronounced. I went with the hop additions as planned. There were no more until 12 min left in the brew so I boiled for 33 minutes then did my...

    Out of propane, what now?

Thanks for the replies. Actually, to make matters worse, I do have two propane tanks. The first one ran out just before boiling, already too late to go get a refill and I had been drinking a little anyway... The second I pulled off the charcoal grill and it had less than I expected remaining...

    Out of propane, what now?

Rookie mistake, I know, and since I just started brewing in April, I guess I am still a rookie. This was batch 12 for me and it was one I just couldn't seem to get around to brewing. I started late on an Imperial IPA, ~15 lbs of grain mashed, fly sparked and in the kettle. Reached boil and add...

So my first AG, and I decided to grind my own grain. This is the clone off of Adventures in Homebrewing. After the fact I realized that the mill had loosened and that my milling was poor. I checked gravity during the boil and determined I was going to finish around 35 with a target of 55...

    Overanxious newbie mistakes...advice?

Brewed my first batch on 4/18/2014 after years of resisting brewing and settling for drinking my friends homebrew. Pitched liq yeast, no starter into a German Hefe and it turned out fine, though clove was strong, banana barely there due to lower fermentation temps. My second was a Belgian...

    ModifiedCream ale recipe

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking of going with flaked oats instead of millet, but who knows. I also dropped the LME in favor of a mini mash of a total of 4lbs of two row with the millet/oats.

    Regulator Malfunction?

I just bought a Taprite t-742HP off of Amazon for ~$62 delivered. I would recommend buying through them as even though mine was 6 mo old, they issued an immediate refund. I bought a Kegco brand the first time. Too many people having issues with that brand

    Regulator Malfunction?

I'm having the same issue. Hoping I can get a warranty replacement. I saw where someone claimed to have taken apart, cleaned and put back together and that worked for them. Might be worth trying.
