    Rose petal/water wine

Greetings all, ever since making my first dandelion wine, I have been thinking about trying out some other flower based wines. I found the rose petal wine on Jack Kellers site particularly interesting. My problem is that I can't get enough rose petals. I did however find a bottle of pure...

    prickly pear wine

Maybe instead of a wedding gift it can be an anniversary gift? By the way, I am getting jealous of all of you and your wild fruit availability. I had a pear tree in my yard at my old house, but didn't make wine back then.

how much water in the airlock?

Yes, when no pressure is present, I use te etched line. When fermentation is going and there is CO2 pressure present, I fill the airlock up to the neck on mine.

    Bottling - a mover's nightmare

I would just go to the local bar and get some empty cases, tape em up and ship em out. Then again, they are getting paid to do that. I had some movers pack up all my stuff once for my move from Detroit to Kansas, and they wrapped all of my Tupperware lids individually. They know no limits...

    Stuck in the mud

Okay, I re-pitched yesterday afternoon and still nothing. Am I looking at too much unfermentable sugar from the types of malt I used? I read that brown malt is accepted as a base malt. My expertise in this matter is non existent. I suppose my only recourse is to let it sit for another week...

I want to make wine from Mountain Dew Throwback

OP: are you planning a prison stint? If not I'm not sure why one would want to do this. On the other hand, it'll likely only cost you about $5.00 to try it, so why not?

    Stuck in the mud

Oh shoot. I mashed for 60 minutes at 155. I didn't even think/know about the difference there.

    Stuck in the mud

Greetings all, long time lurker, first time poster. I am experiencing a stuck fermentation on my third AG beer. I went a little big on this one and I'm hoping that the sages that be can assist me. Imperial Chocolate Stout (There are no rules right?) 6# Klages Pale 5# Brown 2# Chocolate...
