How do you wire the 240 heating element with 120. I about to start putting my rims tube together but not sure how to wire this. I am useing a dishwasher cord for the power so it has a ground but heating element doesnt have spot for the ground. Please help

I live in north augusta which is actually in S.C. just across the river. The only brewery with about 30 to 45 mins is. Aiken brewery it has some really good beer and so pretty good food. All other breweries are about 2 hours aways.

throw a blow off tube on it and stick in a bucket of sanitizer.

My red cleared up and looks like I have no problem. Will be bottling this weekend.

Thanks for the info guys i am going to just wait and see hopefully everything works out. It is so good that i can drink it pretty much flat but going to hold off and see what happens.

I have a Black IPA that I bottled about a week ago it is about 8%abv and I just tried one. It has little to no carbonation. Think it is just to early or do i need to do something to try and get it to carbonate. Please help.

Havent had my water tested yet but am going to at some point. hope time cures most of it.

just bottled my porter little over a week ago and tried it for the first time yesterday. It seems to have a nutty flavor with touch of plastic . Would think it would be chlorine since it was boiled. Really can tell if it is an off flavor or just a young beer. What do you guys think. Think it...

Well I am new to brewing and jumped it feet first after wanting to brew for years. I started with all grain. I brewed my fourth batch a little over a week ago. Its a black ipa. Well my question is it has been over a week and still have stuff on top of beer. Not sure if it is infected or not...
