    Had the same issue with Auber cables. They are very delicate. I bit the bullet and bought a custom cable from the electric brewery. Problem solved.

    New York Electric Brewery.com Hopstopper for Blichman 10-30 gallon kettle

    I recently upgraded my system and have gone a different route for hop filtering. It does work well. My only issue was having to slow the flow to a trickle once the level in the brewpot reached the hopstopper.

    Help me pick an element (or two)

    I have a 10 gallon blich. The id of the kettle is 13 5/8". Have the Camco 5500 watt element ripple installed with 1/8" clearance. Just my 2 cents but if it was me I would stay away from any element that is zinc plated. BTW love your spreadsheet.
