It is there only if using a liquid yeast. When using a dry yeast, US-05 for example, the starter and therefore stir plate options all go away....

There is not stir plate option inside the recipe when you insert your starter details? Am I looking in the wrong place for this?

I can't help but think if the designers of the UI really enjoy using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 so modelled off that. It has that look and feel to it. Pretty cheap for a Beer ERP system IMO.

Brewed a version of this last night - finished about 2am! Used Marris Otter and Bairds Amber malts. Hops were Amarillo and Simcoe as this recipe stated and added every 10 minutes during the 90minute boil. My mash was a little too cool - around 63C (145F). Used two packs of s04 in a 3.2L...

My LHBS only has UK Bairds Amber - not Thomas Fawcett - will this suffice? I can't find any reasons why it won't.....

I just used a hack saw and then some fine sand paper to get rid of the rough edges.

Hey Has anyone built a 2, 3 or 4 bottler filler version of this? I was thinking you could make a frame that held all the taps and fillers and had some sort of linkage that was connected to all the taps that activated them all at the same time? Like a quad throttle body linkage on a carburettor...

Hey Bryan. Great build thread. Just wondering if you could talk us through your clean up process? How do you clean your mash tun and boil kettle? Do you have to lift them out and hose them down etc? Or have you got some way to clean them in place? Cheers Hunt
