Does the Auber have a relay that will handle that amperage or do you need to wire one into the circuit?

New Danstar Belle Saison Dry Yeast?

Interesting, I was curious about what kind of flavors an IPA would get from the DanStar. I've had great luck with this yeast and saisons and even at some points use a space heater when I feel its not warm enough for the yeast to properly flocculate. Sidenote: are you brewing in Chiang Mai? I...

    New brewer from the LBC

Using aquarium heater to maintain temperature

I was thinking the same and am initially brewing IPAs so a fridge would be unable to raise temps high enough. I'm going to pick up some stick on thermostats for the fermenter and possible an air temp thermostat for the area I am storing in. I've heard several people mention Rubbermaid tubs...

    LBC water report - treatment?

This might be going overboard, but I just spent the last 15 minutes analyzing my local water report. Based on what I've read the only thing concerning are Calcium 26ppm and Magnesium 6.8ppm being low. My understanding is that brewing with malt extract I should be fine since these should be...

    New brewer from the LBC

Hi all, Have been wanting to start dabbling with home-brews for a while and just picked up a brew kit from my local brewer's supply for my birthday. I've been reading some John Palmer and doing research before I start my first batch. Starting out with an IPA kit since that's pretty much all I...
