How long can you safely leave your brew in a secondary? I moved my brew about two months ago then got very ill. I just didn't feel up to working with it. It has been sealed in the secondary with an air lock the whole time. It shows no bactierial growth or any other nasties. Is it still safe?
Great minds must think alike. I just ran out with a second air lock and picked up some hose to fit the inner part and have it all set up so it is going to a proper catch system.
I thought you guys would like that. It's like watching somebody trip and fall. You might think, "ouch, that poor guy" but damn it's funny! I'm just using a plastic bucket for a fermentor and yes Hockeyhunter99 it was the lefse blond. My face stopped it from hitting the ceiling! ha ha ha
All your idea sound OK to me. The only problems I can think of would be pumping it to fast or using o2 at to high of a pressure and again moving it to fast through the chiller to cool it properly. I think your auto siphon would work just fine.
