    cider gravity

Does it annoy anyone else that almost no cider recipes on here have original or final gravity? I get back sweetening but come on

    Pressure KILL Yeast

I've released the pressure by 5 psi intervals every time I remember to do so, so no quick pressure change

    Pressure KILL Yeast

I've done pressurized fermentation at much lower psi. Also, I've read that people do pressurized fermentation in the 15 psi range, so I don't think I should worry. It's just that I'm doing a Pliny the Elder clone, which is expense, so I wanted to get some feedback from the beer community

    Pressure KILL Yeast

It's a brewhemoth. I don't think they advertise psi ratings that high for legal reasons, but it definitely holds 26 psi.

    Pressure KILL Yeast

Transferred out of my conical at 26 psi and forgot I was going to put a beer on top of my yeast cake and left it at 26 psi over night. Any detriment to my yeast? I haven't brewed yet so I can still buy some new yeast.

    Best Portland Brewpubs

I'm traveling to Oregon this week and will be in Portland Sun 15th and Mon 16th. I've got a list of breweries I'd like to hit up and frankly they're too many. There's a beer and cheese fest I might attend at Burnside Brewing. Any advice on must see breweries? I'm staying by the Oregon...

    Proper lagering in corny kegs?

I actually carbed the bock while lagering by accident and it tastes damn good. I was sealing it after transfer and was organizing my serving fridge and forgot to take the gas qd off it. Wasn't sure if it just tasted good regardless of lagering not taking place or if the yeast was still going...

    Proper lagering in corny kegs?

Did my first lagers this winter. Both have come out damn good. Was just wondering how people do the lagering period. I primaried my beers for 10 days until gravity was low enough and at same level for a couple days. Did Drest on first beer because it was lighter. Lowered temp gradually to 40...

    triclamp heatstick

I didn't do it. Just started to learn tig and we're only using aluminum so far. Teach did it. Just tacked at the corners of the locknut, which line up exactly to the outside edge of the ferrule. Then it took only one pass with rod to fill the gap all other welds were fused. Eveything was purged...
