    Stuck fermentation

THANK YOU! I feel like a huge idiot, I was using refractometer and this is my first beer I've brewed in almost 2 years and forgot about needing to correct once there's alcohol. Its fully fermented down to about 1.008. Wasted a pack of yeast and some time but I guess I won't forget that again.

    Stuck fermentation

Hey everyone, looking for some help. I brewed a double IPA(all grain) about 2 weeks ago OG 1.084. I used 2 packets of us-05 and rehydrated before pitching(first time i've used dry yeast). The first few days were kind of as expected seeing active fermentation, but not as active as expected. I...

    stuck fermentation

I'm fermenting a mad elf clone that I brewed on August 3rd. The OG was 1.086. I made a 2L starter with WLP550. It took off fermenting within a few hours with a blow off hooked up and had a very thick krausen which dissipated this past Friday or Saturday. The bubbling on the airlock stopped...

    90 degree fermentation

So I recently brewed a farmhouse ale extract kit from my LHBS, the recipe calls for fermentation at high temperatures. The LHBS says that they fermented at 92 degrees. It was in the mid 90's the week I did my primary so I kept it in my sun room(which i can open the windows that lead into the...

    Off tasting beer

according to whitelabs website, they say that 1 tube of yeast is enough without a starter for a five gallon batch with an OG < 1.060. I still use a starter on every beer anyway just in case, but when i first started brewing i never made starters with whitelabs yeast and never had an issue

    Yeast question

Hi all, I am new to the forums, but have been reading them since i started brewing a little over a year ago. I am doing a high gravity extract beer(5gal batch) with an estimated OG of 1.094. The recipe calls for White Labs Belgian ale #WLP550. I have been trying to figure out how much yeast I...
