carbs = 4 calories per gram
protein = 4 calories per gram
fat = 9 calories per gram
alcohol = 7 calories per gram
It doesn't matter the source, all calories count the same when it comes to being "fattening".

I had the same thing about a week ago, except I was already planning on making a starter. The starter took off fine and fermentation in the primary was also going fine only 3 hours after pitching.
