Thanks guys! It is bottled. I gave it a taste... not too shabby! Maybe the pics didn't do it justice. Nothing I have seen before. The surface of the beer looked good. This bubble seemed to be encapsulated by a film though... covered in white specks. It popped and I moved on.

Actually, I never did see the stringy stuff but the first two pics look a lot like what it was doing before the cold crash. I passed it off as some secondary activity.

Yeah, the bubble is the concern... It is about the size of a quarter.

Revvy, Would scale cause any off flavors or infection? I did let both of these sit with StarSan in them for about an hour each. Would removing the scale take a longer "soak"?
