don't use stainless steel! Some people had success using stainless steel in brewing kombucha, but most of the time, it's a fail. If you have a glass jar, better use it than stainless steel.
Did the temperature in your location change? It could be the temperature that caused the scoby to grow slowly. It it doesn't look like mold, it must be the temperature.

Yay! Thanks all for showing some love! Anyone of you have tried adding peach to their kombucha?? What does it taste like? I have some peaches and I want to add it to my booch, but I haven't tried it yet so I'm a little afraid. lol.
