    green tea wheat beer

No specific recipes but I think it sounds great! Green tea gets especially bitter if it steeps too long so boiling it might be excessively bitter. You could try dry-hopping with some green tea leaves or maybe add some concentrate after the boil. Not sure if the concentrate would have any...

    Oven Roasted Ribs

Definitely not too long. Most BBQ is "over-cooked" in that sense that you are surpassing all the standard temps (rare, medium, well) and applying heat until the connective tissues (collagen, gelatin, etc.) begin to melt. This is when you get "fork-tender" or "falls off the bone". Too much...

    Cheapest bottles?

I've been scavenging the local recycling center lately. If you have one near-by, check it out. A nice long soak in hot water and OxyClean will get all the labels and funk off. I dip them in Idophor and bake in the oven for a couple hours. Buying empty bottles should be the last resort.

    ABV change after priming?

My understanding is that once you are getting a consistent gravity reading you can assume that fermentation is complete and either bottle or rack into secondary. If you bottle right away would you take a hydrometer again after priming and use that as your FG to calculate ABV? If so, wouldn't...

    Hello from SoCal Brewer

Hi Everyone! I've really enjoyed trolling these forums and have learned a TON! I started homebrewing a few years ago when I was living in Oklahoma. The restrictive liquor laws and availability of good beer drove me to take matters into my own hands. Since moving to California 4 years...
