Just built my fermentation chamber! Any recommendations for cold fermenting recipes?

I just brewed a Cream Ale a couple of weeks ago. Moving to my corny keg later this week for conditioning. I too have been doing IPAs and APAs and other hoppy beers that my BMC family and friends don't care for. This cream ale is pretty tasty so far. Light and refreshing but still has some...

What sparge device to put in my converted cooler.

I use the stationary sparge arm that northern brewer carries. Has worked well for me.

whole grain vs. direct sunlight, who wins?

I don't think it would hurt. Very little UV light can get through even clear glass.

    brewing first wheat

Citra, IMO, is the most amazing smelling and tasting Hop on the face of planet Earth. I love em.

    Summer BIAB recipe

If you use an ale yeast like Safale US-05 or Wyeast 1056 you can get lager like results if you ferment it low(high 50's low 60's) it won't be a true lager but it'll still have a clean flavor profile.

    cooler tun

Yeah. I wouldn't use the zinc plated washer. It will literally be a corroded mess after just one mash. I couldn't find SS at HD or Lowes but ordered 10 SS fender washers from Fastenal for like $14. Zinc is fine for outside the MLT but you DO NOT want it inside. Throw one of them in a cup of...

    Summer BIAB recipe

Hefeweizen! The ultimate summer beer. Light but tasty and even lots of non craft beer drinkers like em.

    An issue (lemon flavor)

Yeah. The gunk in the neck of the bottle certainly doesn't look normal.

Are you extract brewing or AG?

    all grain then extract

I've noticed the brewers best kits don't have the freshest ingredients. I bought a Continental Pilsner(extract w/steeping grains) kit back in the beginning of Jan and the LME was several years old and the yeast was expired for about a month. I just had my first bottle today and it has a rubbery...

    Equipment for AG ?

+1 I made a MLT and HLT out of two 10 gallon cyndrical coolers from Home Depot. All in all, cost me under $100.
