    My Cincinatti Report

Well I've been back home for awhile but I thought I'd update what happened on my trip to Cincinnati. I received several good tips for places to go from forum members here and went to quite a few of them. My first night I was trying to go to Beer Sellar on Riverboat Row, but it was a monday...

Yes you did, sorry I missed that Remman. Well I thank everyone again, I'm really looking forward to my trip. Up here if we get 6 bmc beers on tap it's considered a good bar. I'll be in heaven with all those different beers to try!

What about Rock Bottom in Cincinnati? In checking the internet they have a pretty good beer selection. Has anyone been there?

I read this and was depressed that it was going to be a drag going to Cincinnati http://www.forbes.com/maserati/singles2004/cx_dl_0624cincy_04single.html But I don't think it's as bad as he makes it sound

Actually not knowing Cincinnati very well it sounds like the Northside is where its at. Where is the university located? I have to sit down tonight and try to figure out where a lot of these places are but is the Southside not very happening over there?

So I will be in Cincinnati for a work training session in a couple of weeks, being from Canada I don't get to taste a lot of the craft beers that I hear about on this forum. Can someone give me some suggestions for something I can get at a bar down there that might be tasty? I like a wide range...

Has anyone gone for this brewing guide?

Improving The Taste Of Home Brew Beer | Better Home Brew Formula It's probably a scam but has anyone forked over 39.95 for it?

    old brew

I have taken a year off of brewing, and now I am back. I had a few Coopers kits lying around (refrigerated) and decided instead of throwing them out (1 year past expiry date) I would do a partial mash with them. I read somewhere(Zymurgy I think) that the grain supplements the lost FAN in the...

The Big and Easy Bottle Brew

I buy these on a regular basis which supplements my pipeline. The beer is not bad, ready in 2 weeks, and cheaper than a six pack where I live. I've never had one that was bad and I think it has its place for someone who wants a tasty beer and can wait a couple of weeks. Everyone who writes...

jb weld fell in my brew

Thanks all for the input. It's really good beer and I'll be none too happy as I watch it going down the drain, but I'll not risk ingesting chemicals, I can always make another batch.

jb weld fell in my brew

I made a heatstick complete with gfi protection, and it worked great, except that the jb weld I used melted and before I noticed it leaked into my brew. I cured it for at least a month before I used it, and it is supposed to be heat resistant to 500 degrees or something like that, so I don't...

    Brew in bag?

I think there is a bit of confusion on this site about BIAB. It originates in Australia and is not Deathbrewer's stovetop method. The australian BIAB method is hands down the easiest way to brew AG beer. I have done many batches this way using curtain material, it is slick. I have never used...

    Beginner's options

I thought I would clarify the brewing techniques available to a new brewer or maybe a brewer looking for more advanced options. Easiest to hardest: 1. Extract or Kit Pros: Easiest way to make beer, no mashing steps Can make better beer with steeping certain grains or dry hopping Cons...
